BY LARALOVE “Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Return to Me,” says the Lord of hosts, “and I will return to you,” says the Lord of hosts.” Zechariah 1:3 “Are you on the path?” I asked a young man. I had met him before. We had already talked about the Lord Jesus Christ. I had seen him a few times since. I knew the answer regardless of how he responded. About whether or not he was sincerely following the Lord Jesus Christ. About whether he was living his life in obedience to God. About whether he was submitted to God’s will and purpose. About whether he was reading the Bible and living according to it. Or whether he was off the path. How would he answer? Simple. Clean. Honest. “I’ve gone astray,” he said. We talked briefly, and I encouraged him to follow the Lord. With a strong emphasis on reading the Bible daily. And getting some strong Christian men in his life to love, encourage, help, support, and pray for him. How would you answer, friend? Are you on the path? Have you turned from your sins, put your faith in Jesus Christ as Lord who died to pay your sin penalty and was raised from the dead, and fully committed your life to God and His ways? Does your daily life show evidence that you are totally devoted to Jesus? Or, have you gone astray? Totally, or even in part? The Lord desires, commands, and deserves our WHOLE HEARTS and our WHOLE LIVES. There is only one path that leads to a forever relationship with God instead of hell and the lake of fire. The path of a life devoted to Jesus. And, when we are honest and acknowledge we’ve gone astray, having gotten off the path, there’s only one right thing to do. Be truly sorry over our sins and return to Jesus. Devoting ourselves utterly to God and His ways. Are you on the path? Or gone astray? If you’re astray, repent and return to the Lord!
